We had experience diving before, so went in the tank straight away but you can get a feel for the equipment and find your balance in the natural pools before the tank if necessary. Abílio's english was perfect and explained everything really well. Such a special birthday present. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Madeira!”

We had a 30 mins “class room” introduction given by an experienced diver. He was really good and explained all that could go wrong and how to fix it. He explained about the ear adjustment under water and how they could get bruised if you don’t “pop” them often. You must go down slowly, meter by meter, to let the ears adjust. We then dressed up, put heavy weight on, got our bottle…”

“After doing more than 20 dives with Azul I can say only good things. I started with open water course with Esmeralda and then did a dive almost every Saturday. From relaxed shore dives to night dive. I dived with Esme, Guadalupe, Theo, Sam, Raffa, Roberto, Tony and Scott. And each one of them was fully professional and very nice. Their boat skippers Francisco and Vlad are always helpful and take care of you on the boat.”
